Assistant Director of Nursing

Job Summary We are seeking a highly qualified and reliable Assistant Director of Nursing to support the leadership and operational management of our small Private Duty Home Health Care Agency. Our ideal candidate must be able to work closely with other office staff, patients and families. This position will be mainly in the office, but will require patient home visits as well. This family-owned company has been in business for 50 years and was built on a "patient first" model that still exists. Duties Assist the Director of Nursing in developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance clinical services and operational efficiency. Lead and supervise skilled and unskilled nursing staff, promoting accurate documentation. Oversee educational programs and training initiatives to ensure staff competency and compliance with accreditation standards. Foster a culture of leadership, accountability, and critical thinking. Monitor clinical performance metrics to ensure adherence to safety protocols, best practices, and regulatory requirements. Promote a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred. Current and valid nursing license in good standing with PA licensing board. Experience with EMR and OASIS assessment required. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and foster professional growth among staff members. Experience in med-surg and private duty homecare strongly preferred.
