Job Description

Position Summary The Dispatcher is responsible for the execution and coordination of daily dispatch operations, ensuring that personnel, equipment, and resources are deployed efficiently and in alignment with established operational plans and standards. This role requires the ability to independently coordinate logistics, manage real-time operational changes, and ensure accurate documentation and communication across multiple stakeholders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Daily Dispatch Execution Develop and execute daily dispatch schedules based on job requirements and operational priorities Assign cranes, operators, oilers, and support personnel to scheduled work Coordinate equipment movements, trucking, and job site logistics Adjust schedules in real time to address operational changes and constraints Coordination & Logistics Coordinate with field personnel, Fleet Manager, and vendors to ensure equipment readiness and job execution Arrange third-party vendors and services in accordance with established guidelines Request and manage permits and required job documentation Coordinate re-rent equipment as directed by Senior Dispatcher Documentation & Systems Management Accurately code and process job tickets in dispatch systems Maintain up-to-date records of job activity, equipment usage, and personnel assignments Prepare and distribute dispatch packets, including permits, lift plans, and supporting documentation Update and maintain data within NexGen and related systems Communication Serve as a central communication point between field operations, sales, and internal teams Provide timely updates regarding job status, delays, and scheduling changes Escalate conflicts, constraints, or resource limitations to the Senior Dispatcher Compliance & Accuracy Ensure dispatch activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Support tracking and coordination of certifications and required documentation Maintain accuracy in scheduling, ticket coding, and job records Branch Support & Cross-Training Responsibilities This position will initially support operations out of the Orange branch, with the expectation of partial and eventual full-time support at the San Bernardino branch once fully trained and up to speed on dispatching and internal processes. Assist with maintaining an organized and efficient San Bernardino office, including filing, documentation control, and general administrative support. Manage and maintain equipment schedule for gear moving in and out of SB yard. Support purchasers with POs and service requests, ensuring accuracy, proper tracking, timely processing, inventory control for parts and supplies Update work orders, coordinating closely with mechanics and fleet coordination. Assist fleet coordinator with administrative support to the mechanics, including preparing, organizing, and distributing required paperwork. Ensure crane field crews receive all necessary paperwork (work orders, service documentation, and related forms) in a timely and accurate manner. Assist in maintaining proper regulatory procedures, Hazmat, Fire, Grounds Etc. Act as a communication link between dispatch, mechanics, and field crews to help keep daily operations running smoothly across both branches. Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience 2+ years of dispatching, logistics, or related experience Familiarity with crane operations or heavy equipment environments preferred

Knowledge of logistics principles, scheduling techniques, and routing to support efficient daily operations

Familiarity with safety requirements, permits, and certification standards to ensure compliance in dispatch activities
Skills Communication Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with field personnel, clients, and internal teams
Problem-Solving:
Ability to address scheduling conflicts, equipment issues, and operational changes in real time
Organizational Skills:
Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize dispatch requests, and maintain accurate records
Adaptability:
Ability to adjust to changing schedules, job requirements, and field conditions while maintaining efficiency
Abilities Execution Under Pressure:
Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced, high-demand environments
Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in dispatch systems (e.g., NexGen), GPS tools, and related software to support daily operations
Collaboration:
Ability to work effectively with field crews, safety teams, and internal departments to ensure smooth job execution Attention to
