Immediately Job Description To assist the Head Football Coach in developing and maintaining a competitive football program that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, character, and student-athlete growth both on and off the field. Qualifications Valid Iowa coaching authorization or coaching endorsement required. Knowledge of football fundamentals, rules, strategies, and player development. Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and community members. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Head Football Coach with planning, organizing, and conducting practices and competitions. Teach fundamental football skills, techniques, and strategies appropriate to student-athlete development. Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and respect among student-athletes. Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, and related activities. Assist with equipment management, inventory, and maintenance. Help monitor student-athlete academic progress and eligibility requirements. Ensure compliance with district policies, athletic department expectations, and state athletic association regulations. Support efforts to maintain a safe and positive environment for all participants. Assist with game preparation, scouting reports, film breakdown, and other coaching responsibilities as assigned. Communicate effectively with players, parents, coaching staff, administration, and community members. Attend coaches' meetings, professional development opportunities, and required district trainings. Model professionalism and positive conduct at all times.
