EXTRA-CURRICULAR SPONSOR

Reports to: High School Principal

Basic Function:

To teach and instruct students in their activity of assignment.

Essential Functions:

Teach individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the activity involved. Plan and schedule a regular program of practice in season. Work closely with the principal in scheduling practices or contests. Recommend purchase of supplies as appropriate. Maintain necessary attendance forms, insurance records, and similar paperwork. Oversee the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned activity is conducted at all times that students are present. Establish performance criteria for eligibility. Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times, and establishes and oversees penalties for breach of such standards by individual students. Represent the district in a positive image Adhere to all board policies Follow all state mandates for your activity Present team and individual awards at the designated school sponsored awards night if applicable. At the conclusion of the activity all equipment, props, audio equipment must be stored in a proper location that does not interfere with other activities or educational classes. Audio equipment needs to be in a secured and locked location. Required to work minimum of three concessions prior to other fundraising opportunities. Attend and participate in the following activities where applicable: State and District Contests Band and Vocal Concerts including Café Concert Jazz, Marching, Pep Band, and Show Choir Contests Honor Band & Choir FFA Conventions & State Fair
