In this pivotal role, you will support the overall management of store operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and lead a motivated team to achieve sales and operational goals. Your leadership will foster a positive shopping environment, optimize daily processes, and uphold company standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual passionate about retail management, team development, and delivering outstanding customer experiences. Duties Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and staff management. Lead and motivate team members through effective training, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of employee engagement and productivity. Manage employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and onboarding processes to build a strong, capable workforce. Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent communication skills and phone etiquette to resolve issues promptly. Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, promotional activities, and store presentation to maximize sales opportunities. Supervise cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and store financials to maintain accuracy and compliance. Coordinate purchasing decisions, inventory management, stock replenishment, and inventory control to ensure product availability while minimizing shrinkage. Support shift management by organizing schedules that optimize staffing levels for peak hours while maintaining efficient store operations. Implement marketing initiatives and sales strategies to increase foot traffic and revenue growth. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, store policies, and regulatory requirements while fostering a positive work environment aligned with company values. Qualifications Proven experience in assistant manager or retail management roles with supervisory responsibilities. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively across diverse functions such as sales, merchandising, and customer service. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases. Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing techniques, payroll administration, bookkeeping, inventory management, POS systems, purchasing procedures, and cash handling. Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, sales management metrics, budgeting principles, and retail math calculations. Experience with retail sales environments such as grocery stores or general merchandise stores is preferred. Ability to multitask efficiently with excellent organizational skills and time management capabilities. Familiarity with wireless sales or marketing is advantageous but not required. Strong organizational skills combined with attention to detail in stock control and merchandising efforts.
