Job Description

Assistant General Manager/Catering Manager - Rebecca's Culinary Group Are you passionate about hospitality, leadership, and creating exceptional guest experiences? Rebecca's Culinary Group is looking for an Assistant General Manager to help run one of our cafés, ensuring outstanding service, quality, and a positive team environment. As the AGM, you'll support the General Manager in all aspects of catering as well as assist in day-to-day unit operations. Lead a talented team and help grow sales while maintaining profitability and high operational standards. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make an impact on both team and guest experiences.
What You'll Do Lead & Inspire:
Coach, motivate, and develop your team to deliver friendly, efficient, and consistent service.
Deliver Excellence:
Ensure food and beverage offerings meet Rebecca's Café quality and presentation standards.
Operational Excellence:
Manage daily operations, including inventory, cost control, cleanliness, and safety compliance.
Guest Experience:
Resolve customer concerns quickly and proactively, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied.
Financial Performance:
Support sales and profit goals, manage payroll, and maintain accurate financial reporting.
Team Growth:
Recruit, train, and develop staff, building a strong, collaborative team culture. What We're Looking For Leadership experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant operations Strong customer service mindset with problem-solving skills Ability to manage staff, schedules, and daily operations efficiently Knowledge of food safety, health regulations, and workplace safety Financial acumen and experience with budgets, labor, and inventory management Positive attitude and commitment to fostering a supportive team environment Work Environment This role operates in a kitchen environment with equipment including ovens, stoves, dishwashers, slicers, coffee machines, steamers, mixers, and chef's knives. Exposure to heat, steam, fire, and noise is frequent. Skills Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and food safety regulations Proven leadership skills with experience in staff training, supervision, and team development Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally Background in hospitality management with experience in managing shifts, budgets, and operational workflows Ability to oversee multiple facets of restaurant management including food production, catering services, bar operations, and banquet events Effective communication skills for interviewing staff candidates and conducting training sessions Demonstrated ability to manage food industry standards while fostering a positive team environment Why Join Rebecca's Culinary Group?
