Job Description

Position Summary This position is responsible for assisting the Head Golf Professional and the 1st Assistant Professional in the management and supervision of the golf operations, with a goal of providing an enjoyable golf experience to the Members and their invited guests. This includes providing members and guests with unparalleled service, tracking play, assisting with all merchandising functions, tournament operations, teaching lessons, and any other services to ensure an exceptional golf experience. General Duties and Responsibilities Completed or completing the requirements of PGA Membership and maintaining an active classification in good standing with The PGA of America. Conducts oneself, always, in a professional manner and maintains a professional image adhering to Club-established professional dress code standards. Is knowledgeable and informed on and promotes all club activities and services. Assists in the management and execution of the Club's tournaments, weekly games, couples' games and any other Club golf events including demo days and teaching events. Provides golf instruction and clinics that are consistent with established instructional methods Acts in the absence of the Outside Golf Services Manager in the supervision of the outside services staff, interns and range attendants, while ensuring that the Club's starting time policies are managed effectively, members are given appropriate starting instructions and Caddies are introduced to members in accordance with the Caddie Independent Contractor License. Upholds and is prepared to enforce the Hallmark policies of Eagle Springs Golf Club including Pace of Play, dress code, cell phone policy, dog policies and utilize effective marshalling tactics. Manage the GHIN Handicap System for all Members and Associate Members and ensure GHIN Terminals are up to date and available for daily member use. Work closely with Golf Shop Merchandiser and assist in the purchasing, receiving, display, inventory, and selling of all golf shop merchandise and equipment. Be knowledgeable, ask questions and be up to date on the latest product lines. Be prepared to answer and assist members with questions or special-order needs. Promote a close working relationship amongst the golf department staff as well as a positive interaction with all Club Departments. When asked, provide publication material for newsletters, the website, and information boards as necessary in a professional, accurate and timely manner. Be knowledgeable and prepared to apply all Club and golf related policies and procedures with members, guests and staff. Assist (report) daily activity at the club. This includes checking golf course set up, practice area cleanliness, staff efficiency, daily set-up and takedown, the enforcement of all rules and regulations governing golf course usage, and daily related record keeping. Assists in the organization and facilitation of the member's use of the river for fly-fishing. Familiarizes themselves with the Club's polices and helps communicate those policies to members and guests. Insists on no fishing waders in the starting area and directs members/guests to the proper staging areas for fishing. Organizes golf carts and directs members/guests on proper etiquette and river access. Patrols the river and monitors non-member access to the river. Other duties as assigned

Exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, honesty, integrity and general conduct. Ability to provide high quality guest service skills. Strong verbal communication, written communication, and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects, and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently, assist with a variety of projects and be assertive as appropriate. Always represent Eagle Springs Golf Club in the best possible manner. Has a career goal to be a Head Golf Professional.
