Job Description
Overview Welcome to Tillery Tradition Country Club. We are a golf course community nestled in the Uwharrie Mountains, and bordered by breathtaking views of Lake Tillery. We have an amazing golf course, some beautiful amenities of clubhouse and pool, high quality cuisine and beverages - but above all, the club has great people, members and staff. We welcome you to come visit Tillery. Tradition Country Club. Experience Required 1-2 Years Private Club Experience Preferred but not required. PGA Level 1 Associate or Willingness to get in the PGM Program Bachelor's Degree from 4-year university or college preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Essential Responsibilities Greet and engage with members, guests and visitors. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of golf operations, club policies, and member expectations. Enforce club rules and regulations, ensuring a high standard of decorum. Represent the club professionally in all daily interactions with members and colleagues. Organize and manage member tournaments, golf events, and outings, actively promoting participation and enthusiasm for club activities. Assist in preparing and distributing member communications, updates, and announcements. Assist with all aspects of the golf shop, including inventory management, merchandise display, product knowledge, special orders, and more. Provide golf instruction to members of all skill levels, continually honing your teaching abilities. Play golf with members and guests to foster relationships and enhance your own skills. Serve as a starter and player assistant as needed, ensuring smooth course play. Assist in overseeing daily operations of outside services. Assist with merchandising duties, including restocking displays. Fulfill any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Golf. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Professional demeanor with sound judgment in decision-making. Strong team player with a commitment to excellence. In-depth knowledge of the game of golf, including rules and etiquette. Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently during busy periods. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to stand/walk for an 8-hour shift and lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Must withstand exposure to weather elements and perform physically demanding tasks as required. Proficiency in operating golf carts and related equipment. 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying schedules based on club needs.
