Assistant Kitchen Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose and Scope The Assistant Kitchen Manager is responsible for ensuring the overall day to day operations of Romano's Pizza LLC. are run in a professional, profitable, organized manner, and ensuring the overall satisfaction of all of our customers. All management should take a lead by example approach and set the tone for staff in work ethic and attitude. Maintain a professional image and appearance that best represents Romano's Pizza LLC. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will assist the Operations Supervisor and owner in ensuring the accountability of the Shift Managers.
  • Responsibilities Ensure the overall satisfaction of the customer.
  • Ensure consistent quality control for all food products delivered, so that all food is prepared with customer satisfaction in mind.
  • Ensure that the cost of all products used, wasted, spilled, or broken are accounted for, to include food & beverage items are paid for or comp'd or logged as needed, and all other waste is accounted for .
  • Ensure all employees are complying with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the completion of all daily checklists, such as opening, closing, cash out, and all position checklists are completed.
  • Delegate responsibilities to ensure all employees complete tasks they are assigned during each shift, and oversee all employees are meeting expectations for assigned tasks.
  • Ensure employee activity level during slow periods through the completion of weekly, monthly, or annual checklists, the use of on the spot tasks, and the completion of long term projects, or reduce staff if applicable.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of all areas of the facility at all times
  • Ensure acceptable employee appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the Romano's employee handbook.
  • Handle Customer complaints with professionalism, tact, discretion, and in the best interest of both the company and the customer.
  • Resolve internal employee issues with professionalism, tact, discretion, and in the best interest of the company.
  • Receive and ensure the quality and accuracy of all provision orders delivered to Romano's Pizza LLC.
  • Constantly monitor existing provisions inventory and ensure that orders to maintain minimum product levels are being placed.
  • Monitor and reduce all provision and paper costs when possible.
  • Exhibit the use of situational awareness to take initiative in any situation that warrants it, or when it is applicable.
  • Organization Relationship The Assistant Kitchen Manager reports as assigned to the Operations Supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and Training Basic Math Skills and above average communication skills Technical Requirements Two years of related experience is desired Managerial Experience 6 months of previous Managerial Experience is preferred.
