Assistant Manager for Sebastopol Farmers Market

Are you dynamic, compassionate, smart, adaptive? We are looking for an Assistant Manager for the Sebastopol Farmers Market. The main requirements of the AM are: 1. Attend every Sunday at the market to assist the manager in all things that she does in running the market. Start at 7:30 am to 2 pm. 2. Manage the social media platforms and the website. 3. Learn all the administrative duties of the market. This is a 12 - 15 hour/week job. The hours will increase as the learning curve and season accelerates. The pay is dependent on experience. This position will be trained in all things that the manager does. The expectation is that the applicant will be able to assume all the responsibilities of the manager in her absence.

Required proficiencies:

– Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Google Docs – Social Media – Social Skills – Knowledge of Financial Reports – Able to lift 50 lbs – Be on your feet for 5 - 7 hours on Sunday – Management and Leadership Skills, including conflict resolution and HR procedures – Be able to represent the market at multiple public forums.
