We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant General Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our Narberth location, ensuring operational excellence and an outstanding customer experience. Key Responsibilities Operations Support As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the owner in overseeing the restaurant's day-to-day operations and ensuring seamless service across front and back-of-house. • Assist in
Daily Operations :
Support the owner in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring all food preparation and service standards are met. Help oversee the flow of operations to ensure customers receive timely and high-quality products. •
Monitor Front-of-House and Back-of-House Activities :
Ensure coordination between staff in the front and back of the house, assisting with maintaining smooth communication and efficient service. •
Inventory and Stock Management :
Assist with inventory checks and ordering supplies as needed. Help maintain proper stock levels and ensure products are available without overstocking, while assisting with reducing waste. •
Maintain Safety and Sanitation Standards :
Support in ensuring that all food safety, cleanliness, and health regulations are strictly followed. Conduct regular checks to ensure the restaurant is compliant with all safety guidelines. Human Resources & Recruiting Support In this role, you will support the owner in all HR and staffing activities, helping to build a motivated and well-trained team. •
Team Training and Development :
Assist in training new team members and provide ongoing support for staff development. Help ensure that team members understand and adhere to service and operational standards. •
Scheduling and Staff Support :
Support the owner with creating employee schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak times. Be available to step in when needed to help cover shifts or assist with team performance. •
Employee Motivation and Feedback :
Provide regular feedback to staff, and assist the owner in fostering a positive work environment. Help resolve any conflicts and maintain open lines of communication within the team. Financial and Operational Support You will play an important role in assisting the owner with financial oversight and ensuring operational efficiency. • Assist with
Financial Monitoring :
Help the owner track and control the cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory levels, and labor costs to support profitability. Help ensure efficient use of resources and assist in identifying areas for financial improvement. •
Cash Handling Support :
Assist in overseeing cash handling procedures and daily financial transactions, including register reconciliations and bank deposits, to ensure accuracy and compliance. •
Support Revenue Generation :
Collaborate with the owner in driving sales and improving operational efficiency to maximize revenue. Help implement promotional strategies and manage customer satisfaction to encourage repeat business. Community Engagement and Customer Relations As the Assistant General Manager, you will also support the owner in representing Goodness Bowls within the community and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. •
Customer Service Excellence :
Assist in delivering an exceptional customer experience by leading by example and helping to address customer concerns or feedback in a professional and timely manner. •
Promotions and Local Outreach :
Support the owner in implementing marketing strategies, events, and community outreach efforts to drive foot traffic and build brand awareness. •
Foster Community Relationships :
Help build and maintain relationships with local organizations, customers, and vendors to support the growth of the business and increase community engagement. Qualifications •
Experience :
At least 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably within the quick-service or fast-casual industry. •
Leadership Ability :
Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and motivate a team, and help maintain a positive and productive work environment. •
Financial Understanding :
Basic knowledge of financial management, including cost control, inventory management, and labor tracking. •
Customer Service Skills :
A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive guest experience. •
Communication Skills :
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with the team, management, and customers. •
Flexibility :
Willingness to work hours 30-40 per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support the restaurant's success. •
Health & Safety Knowledge :
Familiarity with food safety standards and health regulations, with a commitment to ensuring compliance at all times.
Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
