Ability to set up, move and store class equipment.
Demonstrate a genuine interest in improving health, fitness and futures of youth. Preferred Experience working with children, fitness or youth sports.

The Andover YMCA is seeking Assistant Ninja Coaches, come be a part of the fun as we launch NinjaZone at the Y! The ideal Assistant Ninja Coach will have experience or interest in working with kids and fitness, great positive energy and must be 16+ with evening and/or weekend availability. Training and program dates will be determined. Free Y membership, program discounts and more with this exciting new role at the Y! The salary for this position starts at $16.00 hourly. We take into consideration an individuals background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part-time or full-time status. 1.Job Summary:
The Assistant Ninja Coach is responsible for working with children to help identify their potential through NinjaZone sport by providing high-quality instruction and guidance. Assist in teaching fun and safe classes that create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment. Assist in membership development and retention by effectively building community within the class. Support in modifying classes to meet varied health, ability and cultural needs in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. 2.Essential Functions:
Assist in instructing and leading high-energy, movement-based NinjaZone classes in accordance with NinjaZone curriculum.Review lesson plan, know instructional materials, set up space with appropriate equipment.
Create a fun and safe environment for youth to explore, move and grow. Provide feedback to youth through instruction.

Relationships:
This position reports to the Health and Wellness Director who reports to Branch Management. Work closely with other YMCA Team Members and program participants. 4.Qualifications:
Required Minimum age of 16 years.Complete formal NinjaZone training upon hire.

Ability to respond calmly to safety and emergency situations.
Ability to set up, move and store class equipment.

Work Conditions:
Ability to stand on feet majority of work shift. Stretch, bend, and lift up to 50lbs and move equipment on a regular basis. Ability to recognize and react calmly and effectively in the event of an emergency. 6.Additional Notes:
