Job Description

Part-Time, Non-Tenure-Track Faculty Spring Arbor University is seeking an individual with teaching experience to support and build our undergraduate Christian Ministry program. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about academic excellence and about preparing students to impact the world for Jesus Christ within the vocation of Christian ministry. The position will begin in the Fall of 2026. It is funded by a 5-year grant.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Department of Theology at Spring Arbor University (SAU) invites applicants for a part-time Christian Ministry faculty position. Duties include overseeing its supervised ministry and internship classes and teaching undergraduate classes in Christian Ministry and other courses in the candidate's area of specialization, innovative curriculum development in ministry for campus and online programs, advising and mentoring students, and other duties that contribute to a strong Christian ministry program at the university.
QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will be able to articulate how they would integrate the Christian faith into their discipline and will be someone who enjoys working with students and other faculty. EXPERIENCE
Applicants with a D. Min. degree and successful ministry experience is preferred; candidates with a Th.D, or Ph.D. in a closely related field or a master's degree with significant ministry experience may be considered. A successful record of teaching and mentoring undergraduate students in a college environment is strongly preferred, with successful teaching online also helpful. SALARY and

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and other qualifications. Benefits availability is limited due to the part-time definition of the position.
