Our school has served children and their families in Grafton and the surrounding area since 1998 with a curriculum focused on curiosity, respect, independence, and the natural environment. Silver Spruce Montessori School is currently seeking a qualified assistant teacher to work in either one of our toddler (15 months to 2.9 years old) or preschool (2.9 to 5 years old) classrooms. This is a school year position (September to June) with the opportunity for extra hours during vacation weeks and summer program. EEC teacher certification is required. School year schedule is Monday & Wednesday 8:00am-3:00pm, Tuesday & Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm, and Friday 8:00am-12:30pm. The ideal candidate must have 2-3 years experience working with children. A strong work ethic, flexibility, and enthusiasm are a must along with the ability to be a team player. We seek a responsible and dependable individual with strong communication skills. While Montessori experience is not required, a willingness to learn more about the philosophy is a must.
