Our preschool provides a nurturing environment where children build self‑confidence, independence, and social skills while growing physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Through play‑based exploration, we help each child discover their unique gifts and develop a strong foundation for future learning. Position Summary We are looking for a Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our team. This role supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom for children ages 3-5. This role includes helping with daily activities, providing individual attention to students, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and preparing developmentally appropriate lessons Provide observations and input on student progress Support children during classroom activities using positive behavior‑management strategies Help maintain a warm and engaging atmosphere Prepare, serve, and clean up daily snacks Assist with classroom cleaning and organization at the end of each day Communicate warmly and professionally with parents in person and in writing Participate in preschool events and special activities Interact with children in a patient, fair, and kind manner
Qualifications Required:
Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution Minimum one year of preschool or early childhood support experience Ability to bend, lift, and carry items up to 20 pounds Valid driver's license No convictions related to domestic violence, assault, or crimes against children Successful fingerprinting and criminal background check
Preferred:
First Aid/CPR certification Personal Qualities We're looking for someone who is: An effective communicator with children, families, and colleagues Dependable, flexible, and able to take direction Organized and able to manage time well Warm, patient, and supportive
Pay:
$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
