Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary The Project Manager Assistant supports Project Managers in the planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of structural steel fabrication and erection projects. This position assists with project documentation, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, procurement tracking, change management, and communication between customers, vendors, field personnel, and internal departments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment Assist Project Managers with day-to-day administration of structural steel projects. Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project documents. Track project schedules, milestones, submittals, RFIs, and change orders. Coordinate with detailing, fabrication, purchasing, shipping, and field erection teams. Maintain project files and document control systems. Monitor material procurement and delivery schedules. Assist with preparation of project budgets, cost reports, and forecasting updates. Prepare meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and project correspondence. Communicate with owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors. Track subcontractor compliance requirements, insurance certificates, and contract documents. Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, warranties, and final documentation. Assist in identifying project risks and developing solutions to maintain project objectives. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and project-specific requirements. Requirements Experience in structural steel fabrication and erection projects. Familiarity with AISC standards and construction industry practices. Experience with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Tekla PowerFab, Viewpoint, or similar platforms. Understanding of RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and contract administration. Basic knowledge of estimating, scheduling, and construction accounting processes. Pay:

$65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
