Duties Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine scope of work and material requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel components estimating software. Conduct thorough site visits to gather on-site measurements and assess construction conditions. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop accurate pricing strategies and negotiate contracts. Utilize Bluebeam for digital markup, plan review, and document management to streamline estimating processes. Manage bid submissions, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time. Monitor project budgets and perform cost control analysis throughout the project lifecycle to maximize profitability. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and lead times for materials and services. Assist in contract negotiations by reviewing terms related to scope, schedule, and costs to mitigate risks. Support project management teams by providing detailed estimates that inform scheduling, procurement, and resource planning. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on structural steel projects. Strong knowledge of heavy construction practices, materials, and industry standards. Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols. Proficiency in construction estimating software. Skilled in negotiation techniques to secure favorable contracts and pricing agreements. Experience with Bluebeam for plan review and document management is highly preferred. Background in construction management or related field is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and deadlines. $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
