Assistant Project Manager - ADU Construction BuildX | Carver, MA | Full-Time This isn't a job. It's a career launchpad. BuildX is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our ADU division. You'll work directly alongside the owner, embedded in every phase of the build process, from pre-construction planning through punch list. This is a mentorship-first role.

Our goal is simple:

in 12 to 18 months, you're running jobs on your own. What you'll actually be doing: Shadowing and supporting the owner on active ADU projects — site visits, client meetings, subcontractor coordination, and scheduling Learning our project management system (JobTread) inside and out — budgets, proposals, documentation, and daily logs Managing project communication between clients, field crews, and trade partners Helping prepare client-facing proposals and scope documents Tracking job costs and flagging issues before they become problems Taking on increasing responsibility as you prove yourself ready Who we're looking for: You don't need five years of PM experience. This position is primarily road-based and will require regular travel to job sites as well as occasional in-person meetings in Carver, MA. Can you reliably commute to Carver and the surrounding areas without needing relocation? (Candidates with commutes longer than 40 minutes will not be considered.) Give an example of a construction project you helped run or coordinate. How did you ensure it stayed on schedule, on budget, and up to quality standards? Describe a time on a job site when you identified a problem (e.g., subcontractor delay, site issue, materials error) and took initiative to resolve it without direct supervision. What was the result? This role requires working with subcontractors, inspectors, and homeowners. How do you keep all parties informed, hold people accountable, and ensure work is completed correctly and on time?
