Job Description

Hiring Department Chemistry Job Description The Chemistry Department is hiring a research assistant professor in the field of organic electrosynthesis to support the NSF Center for Synthetic Organic Electrochemistry. This position will be responsible for their own independent research projects in the area of reductive organic electrosynthesis and assisting in coordinating joint research with CSOE faculty, CSOE industrial collaborators, postdocs, graduate students and undergraduates. Their responsibilities will include oversight of the analytical testing core facility of CSOE; molecular, materials and biological electrocatalysts development; publication of high impact peer reviewed journal articles; reviewing and editing; training of postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students on laboratory instrumentation; attending research meetings; outreach activities to industry and the community; helping to maintain a culture of chemical safety; and being a valued member of the team. These activities will be conducted in person.
