$45,000-$48,000 annually, DOE + full benefits About Us La Puente is more than a shelter, we're a community. From soup kitchens to street outreach, our programs are powered by big hearts, grassroots hustle, and a fierce belief in the dignity of every person we serve. About the Role We're looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, sometimes chaotic, always deeply human environment. As Assistant Shelter Director, you'll be second-in-command of a 24/7 emergency shelter that serves some of the most resilient people in our community. This is a role for someone who isn't afraid to jump into the weeds, stay calm in a storm, and uplift the team around them. You'll manage people, problem-solve on your feet, serve meals, help navigate housing plans, and make sure our building runs like a (reasonably) well-oiled machine. Flexibility is key, this isn't a 9-to-5 job, and sometimes you'll be called on evenings or weekends. We promise it'll be meaningful.
