Main responsibilities:
Lead and oversee daily operations of the Grocery Department (including dairy, frozen, and liquor/beer), ensuring sales and profit objectives are achieved. Direct overall store operations in the absence of the Store Director, including supervising department managers and store employees. Champion and model exceptional customer service, fostering a customer-first culture across the store Plan, organize, and monitor department operations, including product quality, inventory levels, pricing accuracy, and merchandising standards. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, security, and company policies and procedures. Manage inventory, ordering, shrink control, and physical inventory counts. Hire, train, schedule, and develop employees, while monitoring performance and recommending personnel actions. Analyze financial performance (P&L, sales, labor) and implement plans to drive profitability and sales growth. Maintain effective vendor relationships and resolve customer concerns in a professional manner. Ability to lead and manage a diverse team across multiple departments Ability to analyze business performance and take corrective action Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to identify opportunities and implement operational improvements Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to perform occasional physical tasks (lifting up to ~50 lbs., standing for long periods, operating equipment) Educational requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required Additional education in business, retail management, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Extensive retail experience with prior management responsibility required Travel requirements: Occasional travel may be required, including overnight travel Other requirements: Ability to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Regular and reliable attendance required Compliance with company grooming standards and dress code Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and employee information Ability to work in varying temperature environments (coolers, freezers, outdoor exposure) We also provide a variety of benefits including: Competitive wages paid weekly • Access to up to 50% of your earned wages before payday, via our partnership with Stream Associate discounts Health and financial well-being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!)
