ROLE:

Assistant Manager Position Overview- Must be 18 or older We are looking for an Assistant Manager who is ready to jump in alongside the store manager to be trained with the possibility of moving up to the manager position. The assistant manager supports the Manager in leading daily store operations, developing team members, and fostering a positive, high-performing, and fun culture. This role balances hands-on operational leadership with team management, community involvement, and strategic execution. This is a leadership position that works alongside the team while setting the standard for excellence in product quality, customer experience, and workplace culture. Our Assistant Managers and Managers are able to fulfill all the roles at Stella's Ice Cream and enjoy create 5 star experiences for our guests. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development The Assistant Manager will: learn the aspects of hiring, interviewing and onboarding new staff train and mentor existing and new team members, always focusing on delivering experiences that meet, or exceed the famous Stella's Ice Cream brand standards work to foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture (team work makes the dream work!) communicate effectively with employees and manager or owners.

Store Operations Managers and Assistant Managers:

Schedule staff and manage labor efficiently Oversee time-off requests and shift coverage Maintain high product quality and food safety standards Conduct weekly inventory management Complete weekly metrics reporting Lead monthly manager and staff meetings On Leadership Actively participate in daily store tasks including baking, scooping, cleaning, and customer service Handle bank deposits and after-hours emergencies Managers and Assistant Manager Expectations Minimum 20 hours per week; 5 days per week in-store, usually opening shift One weekend pre-close or closing shift per week required during peak season (May-September) Two pre-close or closing shift per month required for the remainder of the year (October-April) Flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage Strong communication and accountability standards. Qualifications Must possess a work ethic Have a desire to serve others Ability to learn Square Point of Sale Ice cream or baking experience preferred Food service leadership experience preferred Ability to handle after-hours emergencies Work Environment & Mindset This is a fun, fast-paced role with strong team camaraderie and great employee benefits.
