Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiologists and case managers to facilitate comprehensive patient care. Provide education on post-operative care plans including discharge planning, or nutrition guidance for patients in outpatient or inpatient settings. Maintain infection control standards and sterile processing procedures to prevent infection transmission within the surgical environment. Requirements Valid RN license with current state licensure; experience in OR nursing strongly preferred. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; familiarity with

Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation methods relevant to perioperative care. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments including Level I Trauma Centers or teaching hospitals. Strong communication skills for patient assessment and education across diverse populations including pediatrics (neonatal ventilator), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), or patients with developmental disabilities. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are preferred depending on specialty area. Must be able to pass background checks and comply with hospital policies regarding infection control and HIPAA regulations.
