This energetic position offers the opportunity to develop your management skills while ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. You will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and maintaining a vibrant, friendly, clean, organized store environment. Your proactive approach and passion for retail will help foster a motivated team and achieve sales goals. Responsibilities Assist in managing day-to-day store operations, including sales, inventory control, and merchandising to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction Lead, motivate, and supervise team members to deliver outstanding customer service and meet performance targets Oversee employee orientation, training & development programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable about products, policies, and procedures Conduct interviewing and recruiting efforts to build a strong, diverse team aligned with store goals Manage cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency Oversee inventory management, purchasing, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maintain optimal stock levels Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract customers and increase sales Ensure compliance with safety standards, store policies, and regulatory requirements while fostering a positive work environment Requirements Proven management experience in retail or a related field with supervising responsibilities; assistant manager experience is preferred Strong skills in negotiation, sales management, merchandising, inventory control, and cash handling Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases Demonstrated ability in recruiting, training & development, employee orientation, and team management Proficiency with POS systems, retail math, budgeting, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks Knowledge of retail sales techniques including pricing strategies and marketing tactics Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Experience working in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous Exceptional customer service skills coupled with phone etiquette and interpersonal communication abilities Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative store culture Time management skills with an emphasis on shift management and operational efficiency Join us as an Assistant Store Manager where your leadership will inspire teams to excel!
