Job Description

Compensation:
Assistant Profit Center Manager compensation includes a $70,000 base salary plus a guaranteed $1,500 monthly commission for the first 6 consecutive months. Compensation transitions to a base salary plus sliding commission structure, with expected total earnings of $90,000+ annually. Job Summary The Assistant Profit Center Manager supports the Profit Center Manager in leading daily operations, driving sales growth, and improving overall profitability. This role is responsible for helping manage and develop the Profit Center team while ensuring sales, gross profit, and profit-sharing goals are achieved. The Assistant Profit Center Manager serves as acting manager in the absence of the Profit Center Manager. Core Responsibilities Assist in recruiting, training, coaching, developing, and evaluating Profit Center team members. Establish performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and performance evaluations. Analyze business performance data and implement strategies to increase sales, improve operational efficiency, maximize ROI, and grow profit sharing. Support daily operations including customer service, inventory management, shipping and receiving, warehousing, and sales activities. Build and maintain strong relationships within the local community to increase market share and identify new business opportunities. Ensure all business activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with company safety standards, OSHA, DOT, and other applicable regulations. Protect and maintain company assets, including facilities, fleet, equipment, inventory, and receivables. Complete all required safety and compliance training programs. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications College degree or equivalent industry experience required. Minimum of 5 years of sales and customer service experience. Minimum of 1 year of leadership or management experience. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy. Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to drive for company business purposes. Skills & Requirements Strong work ethic with a high level of integrity and professionalism. Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and inspire teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to foster a positive, productive, and customer-focused team environment. Strong relationship-building skills with customers and vendors. Ability to interpret financial reports and performance metrics to drive business decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to learn and utilize business operating systems and software. Product knowledge within the kitchen, bath, plumbing, or related showroom industry preferred. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
