As an Assistant Team Leader within the Administration team, you'll lead a subset of underwriting assistants and college students while serving as the primary backup to the Team Leader. Your leadership will drive team development, operational efficiency and service excellence, all while modeling the USLI Experience through hands-on engagement.Key Responsibilities:
Team leadership: Supervise a group of underwriting assistants and college students, providing guidance and support in day-to-day operations Recruiting and development: Recruit, interview and onboard new team members while overseeing their training and ongoing development Performance management: Monitor productivity and quality, maintain attendance records, conduct performance and compensation reviews Coaching and growth: Assist in the creation and execution of personal development plans to support team members' long-term growth Service promise oversight: Ensure all work is processed in alignment with service-level expectations Issue resolution: Provide feedback and additional training to address performance or workflow issues Knowledge resource: Act as a go-to for team questions, offering insight and clarity on job responsibilities Underwriting liaison: Collaborate with underwriting leadership to align team development and reinforce adherence to underwriting guidelines Workflow coordination: Ensure smooth operations between underwriting and administrative teams through effective communication and process alignment Process improvement: Identify and implement workflow and system enhancements that support community goals and improve overall functionality Customer engagement: Manage a small customer base to maintain direct involvement in service, setting an example for underwriting assistants Professional development: Participate in ongoing continuing education and create internal/external presentations as neededWhat You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Minimum of three years' insurance industry experience Completion of insurance coursework and strong understanding of USLI binding/servicing workflows Consistent track record of reliable attendanceWhat We Offer:
