Job Description

Overview Montpelier Vision Center is seeking an Assistant Trainee where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly contribute to exceptional patient care and smooth clinical operations. On the job training is provided. In this vital role, you will support physicians by managing patient interactions, assisting with special testing procedures, and ensuring the clinic runs efficiently. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with patient intake processes to ensure a seamless check-in experience Prepare exam rooms using aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment for ophthalmology or other specialty procedures Provide testing utilizing special instruments and recording results in EMR. Conduct patient histories concerning their health, medications, and eye history Assist patients with contact lens instruction. Manage medical records accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Support billing and coding processes related to patient visits, ensuring proper documentation for insurance claims Handle front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and managing clinic flow efficiently Skills Strong communication and active listening skills Experience in medical office settings with familiarity in EMR systems Ability to follow HIPAA guidelines diligently Excellent organizational skills for managing medical records, billing, coding, and appointment schedules Effective communication skills for collaborating with physicians, staff, patients, and external providers Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference! Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
