Job Summary/Basic Functions The School of Medicine Office of the Dean at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans is actively recruiting a highly motivated, organized individual to perform key administrative duties for the School of Medicine in support of the full scope and mission of the LSU Health Sciences Center at New Orleans. The incumbent will also serve as the Dean's initial liaison to faculty, staff, and outside constituents. The incumbent provides support to the Dean's Office, including the Dean and the Associate Dean for Finance and Administration. Provides operational and administrative support, including communications with internal and external contacts, logistical support, coordination of meetings, and management of daily office operations Other Information About the Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: manage daily operations of the School of Medicine Dean's Office; compose and prepare confidential correspondence, reports, and other complex documents; manage the Dean's schedule; review and process all School of Medicine state travel priors and Foundation priors, Foundation check requests, and additional documentation that requires the approval of the Dean and Associate Dean for Finance and Administration; coordinate and execute travel arrangements; coordinate meetings and events and handle all related arrangements. Incumbent will serve as the primary liaison for the Office of the Dean as well as the first point of contact for visitors, faculty, and staff to the Office of the Dean, including, but not limited to: answering and directing calls, prioritizing mail and correspondence, and screening and directing visitors. Responsibilities include effectively communicating and managing relationships; this role will interact with leadership, faculty, staff and trainees at LSUHSC as well as external agencies, companies, and organizations as required.Minimum Qualifications Required Education:
