Assistant Vegetable Farmer

Wandering Roots Farm is seeking a full time, year round farmer to assist the Farm Manager in the running of a small scale vegetable and berry operation on a private estate. Located in Pine Plains NY, the farm supplies fresh vegetables, fruit and eggs to one family and a small office in Manhattan. The total garden space is about 6 acres surrounded by 8' deer fencing with a 1/4 acre non-certified organic vegetable plot, 2 acres of mixed berries, and a small orchard. We have a 40' x 60' greenhouse with raised beds and seeding benches, a small flock of laying hens, a commercial grade kitchen, and 2 walk in coolers. Additionally we have a fully outfitted maple sugar shack for syrup production in the winter.
