Assistant Warehouse Manager

Duties Assist in supervising daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and materials handling. Support inventory management efforts by maintaining accurate stock levels using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms. Coordinate warehouse distribution activities to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery schedules. Implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency, safety protocols, and inventory accuracy. Oversee forklift operations and other heavy lifting tasks while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards. Manage team members by providing guidance, training, and support to foster a motivated and productive workforce. Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize supply chain performance and shipping & receiving processes. Skills Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of inventory management, control systems, and logistics operations. Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in materials handling equipment such as forklifts. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and promote safety awareness. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and other relevant software tools like OSHAs regulations. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Solid understanding of e-commerce fulfillment processes and 3PL logistics solutions.
