Job Description

High Point University, Department of Psychology, is seeking qualified candidates for two full-time faculty positions at the undergraduate level beginning August 2027. These are Non-Tenure Track Positions for Social/Personality Psychology and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Non-Tenure Track positions are eligible for promotion, with standards for teaching, scholarship, and service reviewed both internally and externally, typically in the sixth year.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and student mentorship. Teaching responsibilities include Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, and established departmental courses within the applicant's area of training. Candidates should be actively engaged in scholarship. Doctorate in Psychology is required at the time of employment. High Point University is a medium-sized, liberal arts university in central North Carolina, with approximately 5,000 undergraduate students. The Psychology Department offers a B.S. in psychology with approximately 230 majors and 125 minors.
