Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse range of legal practice areas, including criminal defense, family law, general civil litigation, personal injury law, and more. The ideal candidate will possess strong research and writing skills, demonstrate excellent trial advocacy and negotiation abilities, and have a passion for delivering comprehensive legal support in a fast-paced environment. This paid position is perfect for an aspiring legal professional eager to develop expertise across multiple disciplines while contributing meaningfully to client success. Duties Conduct thorough legal research utilizing LexisNexis to support case preparation and legal analysis across various practice areas Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity Assist in managing cases from inception through resolution by organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and preparing discovery requests Support attorneys in negotiations with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes Conduct client interviews and gather relevant information related to criminal defense, family law matters, civil litigation, or other legal issues Prepare for litigation by analyzing evidence, drafting motions, and coordinating depositions or hearings Stay current on evolving laws and regulations affecting practice areas such as environmental regulations or tribal laws to ensure compliance and effective counsel Handle trials and hearings of all types. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission or eligibility to sit for the bar exam Proven experience in the above practice areas Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis platforms to gather pertinent legal information efficiently Excellent legal writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive documents Demonstrated ability in legal drafting and administrative tasks within a busy law office environment Effective negotiation skills with a focus on achieving mutually beneficial resolutions Familiarity with litigation procedures and case management software is preferred Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple assignments Excellent trial advocacy skills
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
