Location:
This is an on-site role in Madison, Mississippi, with limited flexibility available.
Note:
Candidates must have an active Mississippi Bar license, 2+ years of litigation experience, and a defense-oriented background. Candidates with significant plaintiff-side attorney experience will not be a fit for this role due to insurance carrier billing and credentialing requirements. Our team combines strong legal advocacy with practical claim strategy and investigative insight to help clients manage risk and resolve disputes effectively. Confidential Employer. Job Description Manage insurance defense litigation matters from inception through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, reports, and coverage-related correspondence. Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances. Analyze claims, liability, damages, coverage issues, and litigation exposure. Develop case strategy in collaboration with firm leadership and insurance clients. Communicate professionally with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel. Handle a caseload independently while maintaining strong responsiveness and attention to detail. Qualifications Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Mississippi. 2+ years of litigation experience. Insurance defense experience strongly preferred. General liability, first-party coverage, subrogation, or SIU experience is a plus. Alabama Bar license is a plus. Strong legal writing, analytical, communication, and case management skills. Defense-oriented background required; significant plaintiff-side attorney experience is not a fit.
