• Key Responsibilities + Ambulatory-based patient care, caring for patients with hematologic pathologic conditions + Lead a group of faculty members dedicated to classical hematology + Partner with Hospital and School of Medicine partners to build a hematology program + Supervising nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, fellows, residents, and medical students as needed + Carrying out a research program + Participating in and leading outreach activities, including outreach clinics outside the CU-Anschutz campus, educational events for patients and their families, camps for patients, work with patient advocacy groups, and other similar initiatives •

The Division of Hematology (https://apptrkr.com/get\_redirect.php?id=7162702⌖URL=https://medschool.cuanschutz.edu/hematology) at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus has an opening for a full-time Associate Professor/Professor to lead the classical hematology section and is seeking a Board certified or board eligible hematologist for this purpose.

The new faculty member would be expected to participate in clinical and translational research related to hematology, and to engage in training of medical residents, fellows, and others associated with the Division. The Hematology Division of the Department of Medicine, University of Colorado School of Medicine, has its own very successful and highly efficient Clinical Trials Unit, allowing for a robust program in drug development and other studies, and includes tissue banking. There are extensive resources and opportunities for basic science, translational, and clinical research on campus in hematology and through cross-divisional networking. The Division is fully committed to the clinical and academic success of the new faculty member. The individual would become part of a fantastic group of academic clinicians establishing the University of Colorado as a center of excellence in hematology. :
