Associate Solutions Architect, WWPS SA - NPO Charities

About the Role AWS is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to join the World Wide Public Sector Nonprofits practice. You'll serve as the technical lead for a portfolio of nonprofit charities organizations, helping them design and implement cloud architectures that advance science at scale. This role sits within a sales and business development team — your technical expertise will directly inform planning and strategy. You'll need both the consultative and leadership skills to launch projects on a trajectory to success, and the ability to help diverse groups understand application architectures and integration approaches. • Own the technical engagement and success of customer implementation projects
• Design cloud architectures leveraging AWS services
• Provide thought leadership on security best practices for applications, servers, and networks
• Respond to RFPs and define implementation approaches
• Serve as a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
• Lead whiteboard sessions, technical deep-dives, and presentations for audiences of all sizes
• Capture and share best practices across the SA community
• Collaborate with and learn from some of the brightest technical minds in enterprise architecture
• Mentor peers and customers while staying current on AWS innovations and industry trends
• Travel up to 30% A day in the life You'll provide architectural and technical leadership to nonprofit customers leveraging AWS at scale.

• Experience with one of the following programming languages: Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C++
• Experience with two or more of the following: networking fundamentals, security, storage or databases (relational or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, or Windows) Preferred Qualifications
• Experience implementing a cloud-based technology solution

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
