Description The Associate Veterinarian plays a vital role in providing high-quality medical care to canines and felines and exceptional customer service to pet owners. Working under the supervision of the lead veterinarian or practice owner, the Associate Veterinarian diagnoses, treats, and prevents a variety of animal illnesses and injuries, and works collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure the well-being of all patients. We welcome new graduates as well as veterinarians of any experience level to apply. Key Responsibilities Examine, diagnose, and treat a wide range of animal health conditions in companion animals (e.g., dogs, cats). Prescribe medications, perform surgical procedures, and administer vaccinations as needed. Interpret diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, radiographs, and ultrasounds to inform treatment plans. Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, prognoses, and preventive health care. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients. Collaborate with veterinary technicians, assistants, and other team members to provide comprehensive care. Participate in the development and implementation of hospital protocols and policies. Stay current on advances in veterinary medicine through continuing education and professional development opportunities. Promote a positive image of the veterinary practice within the community.
