Full TIme FLSA Status Exempt Qualifications:

1. Valid State of Ohio Administrative certificate/license. 2. Valid State of Ohio teaching certificate/license. 3. Knowledge of PRAXIS/Pathwise domains for effective teaching. 4. Willingness to meet the needs of all students (e.g. at-risk, high achieving, special education...) 5. Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES) credentialed evaluator or willingness to be credentialed. 6. Knowledge of academic content standards and learner outcomes associated with the Ohio's End of Course Exams. 7. Knowledge of how to integrate technology into the curriculum. 8. Experience as an athletic director is preferred. 9. Coaching experience. 10. Demonstrates a sincere desire to aid all students, staff and the community. 11. Excellent organizational written and communication skills. 12. Knowledge of Ohio High School Athletic Association rules and regulations. 13. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds 14. Willingness to work in school sponsored and related activities. 15. Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate.

General Description:

Administers the high school interscholastic athletic program for girls and boys; implements OHSAA policies; works cooperating with the high school Principal in administering the overall operation of the school; implements and adheres to the policies adopted by the Board of Education.

Essential Functions:

1. Is responsible for the administration of the athletic program. 2. Works in cooperation with the Athletic Boosters and the Principal. 3. Is responsible for supervising the care and upkeep of all athletic equipment and facilities. 4. Is responsible for all financing within the athletic program. 5. Is responsible for hiring all officials. 6. Is responsible for all scheduling of games and contests. 7. Is responsible for ordering and paying for all athletic equipment. 8. is responsible for arranging transportation, meals and accommodations for contests played away from home. 9. Is responsible for recruiting highly qualified coaching personnel, reviews all applications for coaching positions, recommends qualified coaching personnel to the superintendent for hiring. 10. Holds meetings with the Athletic Department staff and coaches at the beginning of each season. 11. Maintains an athletic department handbook. 12. Keeps contracts of games and officials on file in the Athletic Office. 13. Signs all game contracts. 14. Furnishes the Principal and coaches with a copy of completed athletic schedules. 15. Approves any changes to the athletic schedules. 16. Arranges with the Supervisor of Maintenance to have playing areas ready for the games (home). 17. Arranges for ticket sellers and ticket takers (home). 18. Arranges for law enforcement presence at games (home). 19. Arranges to have a visiting locker room ready (home). 20. Assists the visiting teams in any way possible. (home). 21. Pays all officials on game nights when possible (home). 22. Coordinates Drug Screening and random checks for Athletes and Clubs each season and along with random checks. 23. Plans and provides each season's required OHSAA Parent Night. 24. Plans and coordinates postseason award programs. 25. Coordinates team pictures with company and teams. 26. Joins/creates OHSAA user account, Arbiter account, uses google doc / sheets/calendar. 27. Along with other administrators, attends as many athletic contests as possible. 28. Assists with the design and implementation of a comprehensive professional development program for faculty members. 29. Conducts teacher observations and evaluations. 30. Assists with school climate initiatives such as Challenge Day and Pillars of Character. 31. Participates in the Intervention Assistance Team and related activities. 32. Assists with student discipline 33. Holds parent conferences regarding discipline and classroom issues. 34. Orient new teachers to district/school policies and procedures. 35. Participates in various school and district committees. 36. Promotes good public relations with the community. 37. Accesses and responds to electronic communication (i.e. website, email, voicemail, etc.) daily.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Serves as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and responsible, intelligent human beings. 2. Helps instill in students the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values. 3. Remains free of any alcohol or non prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district. 4. Conducts other duties related to the High School Athletic Director's responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or designee.

1. Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue. 2. Occasional operation of a vehicle under inclement weather conditions. 3. Occasional interaction among unruly children.
