Bryant & Stratton College -Wisconsin Athletic Department is looking for Athletic Process and Procedure Specialist/Assistant Baseball or Softball Coach. This position is full-time and will report to the Director of Athletics and Head Baseball or Softball Coach.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Athletic Process and Procedures Specialist Under the direction of the Athletic Director, the position provides NJCAA compliance to the Athletic Department in conjunction with athletic advising department. Assists with updating and maintaining NJCAA Recruiting and Compliance Systems and ensure that recruiting activities are following NJCAA rules and regulations. Monitors recordkeeping of recruiting activities of coaching staff to assure compliance with NJCAA regulations. Assists with distribution of educational information/materials to coaches, student-athletes on NJCAA rules and regulations. Assists with preparing and administering all National Letters of Intent documents. Assists in preparing reports for the Athletic Department, Institution, and NJCAA. Assist in updating and maintaining and collection of NJCAA and Bryant & Stratton eligibility forms as well as all NJCAA squad list documents in the NJCAA Compliance Assistant internet software. Maintain a collaborative and positive working relationships with administrators, coaches, student-athletes, boosters and other college offices, and appropriate relationships with other individuals interested in the Athletics Department. Maintains confidentiality to include but not limited to information, files and records that the incumbent may obtain or possess, in accordance with federal and state laws and Bryant & Stratton College policies. Works directly with the Athletic Director on recruiting athletes for various sports within the Athletics Department. Other Duties as Assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assistant Coach Baseball or Softball General Description:
All sports compete at the NJCAA Division II level. All coaches are responsible for the overall development and advancement of a competitive athletic program while demonstrating high moral and ethical standards and positive sportsmanship. The assistant coach must focus not only on excellence on the field, but recognize and emphasize academic excellence in the classroom as well. The assistant coach along with the head coach and athletic director, must operate within the budget to meet the team needs and enforce rules pertaining to the College, student conduct, and governing rules and regulations.
Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: The Assistant Coach serves in the College Athletic Department, under the supervision of the Athletic Director and Head Baseball/Softball Coach. The Assistant Coach is responsible for recruiting players, help hold tryouts and coaching the intercollegiate team at Bryant & Stratton College. The Assistant Coach is also responsible for the instruction of players, individually or in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport. The Assistant Coach is responsible for all NJCAA Division II rules as it relates to offering scholarships. The Assistant Coach is expected to become knowledgeable of all National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) softball rules, including student-athlete eligibility requirements. The Assistant Coach must travel with the team unless alternate arrangements have been approved by the Athletic Director and Head Coach. The Assistant Coach may be required to drive vans to games. The Assistant Coach may be required to attend annual NJCAA Region 4 meetings. The Assistant Coach must promote the academic success of student-athletes to include monitoring the academic performance of team members to ensure eligibility requirements are met; and encourages student athletes to maintain a high academic standard. As representatives of the College, all coaches and student-athletes must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. Flexible hours for practicing and recruiting will be needed. Ability to travel on weekends to recruit perspective student-athletes. Summer flexibility to recruit and work camps. Other duties may be assigned by the Athletic Director and/or Head Coach. -2-

Desired:
College recruiting experience First aid/CPR certification is a plus. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning and leadership skills required. Must be able to serve as a positive role model for young adults. Familiarity with NJCAA rules and regulations is a plus. Clean driving record is preferred.
