Jun 30, 2026 Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit - Assistant Public Defender I The Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit Public Defender Office is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Assistant Public Defender I in Haralson County. This role involves representing indigent clients throughout all phases of criminal proceedings. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing and presenting cases for trial, negotiating and entering pleas, and providing effective legal representation in court. Applicants must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited college or university and be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills, along with the ability to manage a caseload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
