Immediately Job Description Primary Purpose Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications Career Cluster designed to fulfill their maximum potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and technical skills in audio/video production, digital media, broadcasting, and multimedia communications in preparation for postsecondary education and careers. Qualifications Education/Certification Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university- Valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate Career and Technical Education (CTE) certification (Technology Applications, Technology Education, or Trade & Industrial Education preferred) Special Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of audio/video production, digital communications, broadcasting, photography, and multimedia editing
- Proficiency with industry-standard software and equipment including Adobe Creative Suite, digital cameras, audio equipment, and studio technology
- Knowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications
- Ability to manage classroom and production studio environments
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to supervise student productions and extracurricular activities Experience Student teaching or approved internship
- Industry experience in audio/video production, broadcasting, journalism, or digital media preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties Instructional Strategies Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with TEKS and district curriculum requirements.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting of equipment
- Occasional prolonged and irregular hours for productions or events
- Exposure to computer screens, studio lighting, and electronic equipment Terms of Employment Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Trustees and administrative regulations.
