Job Description

No w Hear This® Audiology is a privately owned audiology practice that has proudly served the Triangle area—including Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill—for over 14 years . Our mission is to deliver exceptional hearing care with compassion, expertise, and personalized attention. We are honored to have been voted Raleigh's Best Audiology/Hearing Center for five consecutive years (2021-2025) —a distinction that reflects our commitment to outstanding patient care and a supportive, team-focused work environment. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Audiology Assistant to join our outstanding team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in supporting patients throughout their hearing journey while providing essential clinical and administrative support to our audiologists. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
include but are not limited to: Manage all incoming/outgoing shipments with appropriate clinic/patient follow-up. Manage hearing aid loss & damage claims/orders/repairs with appropriate follow-up. Prepare equipment and paperwork for hearing aid related appointments. Diagnose in-clinic hearing aid issues and follow up with provider/patient. Diagnose and repair hearing aid drop offs and follow up with provider/patient. Counsel walk-in patients with hearing aid issues including Bluetooth troubleshooting. Perform Electroacoustic Analysis (EAA) on incoming repairs/new hearing aid orders. Maintain infection control. Manage stock inventory, orders supplies, and processes incoming stock. Manage loaner/demo program, hearing aid donations, Refurbished Hearing Aid Program. Assist providers with day-to-day needs supporting them and their patients. Support providers at off-site events and screenings. Schedule community outreach events such as hearing screenings, speaking events, off-site hearing aid cleaning, health fairs, etc. Attend routine hearing aid technology trainings, team meetings, and health fairs (2 a year). Process and track ENT referrals and follow up. Provide front office backup support when needed. Assist in making in-house marketing materials.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Exceptional interpersonal skills which positively benefit interaction with employees and patients with a special emphasis on compassion for disabled and elderly patients. Ability to exercise good judgment and self-control. Good comprehension and communication skills, with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through written and/or verbal communication. Enthusiasm, good attitude, trustworthiness, personal integrity, and honesty. Familiarity with healthcare software and HIPPA. Effective communication skills with employees at all levels. Ability to work autonomously and understand when a superior should be involved in decision making. Self-motivated, with a dedication to keeping up to date technically, and applying new knowledge to the job. Working familiarity with audiology and hearing technology, hearing loss, hearing tests, hearing screens. Assume additional duties as assigned and work a flexible operating schedule.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or educational equivalent. Reliable transportation.
Computer skills:
Microsoft Office 365, Publisher, QuickBooks, Word, Excel, and Canva. Successfully pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings. Certification/licensure a plus but not required. Now Hear This®, Inc. will provide for certification and licensure for employee after six months of employment and/or based on job performance.

7:50-4:30 M-F Able to lift & carry items up to 40 lbs. Able to stand, kneel, bend at knees, squat throughout the day. Able to sit at a desk comfortably while working on a computer/telephone during business hours. Able to work in a standard office setting and beware of office tripping or electrical hazards.
