In-Person Competitive Salary 1 Years Experience No formal schooling No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day, Evening Shift / Full-Time Description Al Towing Lehigh We're hiring an Auto Body Painter to prep, mix, and spray automotive finishes to restore vehicles to OEM-quality appearance. You'll manage surface prep through final polish while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and consistent quality. Key Responsibilities Review work orders and match paint to vehicle make/model/finish requirements. Perform surface prep: wash/degrease, sand, feather-edge, mask, prime, block as needed. Mix paint and materials (basecoat/clearcoat/single-stage) and maintain accurate formulas/records. Spray primer, sealer, basecoat, and clearcoat; blend panels for color match. Operate and maintain spray booth, guns, and related equipment; clean tools after use. Identify and correct defects (runs, dirt, orange peel, fisheyes) via denib, wet sand, and buff/polish. Maintain material inventory; report supply needs and track usage. Follow all safety and environmental procedures (PPE, ventilation, hazardous materials handling). Coordinate with body techs/estimators to meet production deadlines and quality standards. Qualifications 2+ years auto body painting experience (adjust as needed). Proficiency with HVLP spray equipment, paint systems, and color matching/blending. Strong understanding of prep procedures and refinishing steps. Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a production setting. Reliable attendance and attention to detail. Preferred Experience with major paint lines (e.g., PPG, Axalta, BASF, Sherwin-Williams). I-CAR training/certifications (or willingness to obtain).
