Job Overview We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Automation & Controls Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems that optimize our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and mechanical systems, with a keen eye for troubleshooting and root cause analysis. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology and contribute to the success of our production facilities. Duties Develop, program, and troubleshoot automation systems using PLCs, SCADA, and distributed control systems to ensure seamless manufacturing operations. Design and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks to support system installation and upgrades. Integrate robotics such as Fanuc robots into manufacturing lines, including robot programming and system calibration. Perform root cause analysis on automation failures or inefficiencies to identify solutions that improve system reliability and performance. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to optimize tooling, machining processes, and mechanical components for automation projects. Support vision inspection systems and other quality control technologies to enhance product consistency. Conduct training sessions for operators on new automation equipment and controls systems to ensure proper usage and safety compliance. Experience Proven experience working with robotics platforms such as Fanuc or similar brands in an industrial setting. Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, blueprint reading, and control system design. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards in a production environment. Mechanical knowledge related to tooling, machining, and system integration is highly desirable. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software for designing or modifying automation components. Experience with vision inspection systems or other advanced quality assurance technologies is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently in complex manufacturing scenarios. $106,102.49 - $118,811.60 per year
