Job Description:

Automation Engineer - Warehouse & Distribution Systems What You'll Do Support and maintain automation systems across a high-volume distribution site (conveyors, sortation, labeling, controls) Troubleshoot and resolve issues with material handling equipment (MHE) to keep operations running efficiently Partner with maintenance and operations teams to improve system performance and reliability Act as a technical SME for control systems and automation-related issues Assist with system upgrades, continuous improvement projects, and new equipment implementation Help develop and support technicians while promoting a strong safety-first culture What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in automation/controls (or 2-year degree + 1 year experience) Hands-on experience with: PLCs, HMIs, VFDs (programming/troubleshooting) SCADA systems and performance tracking (KPIs) Electrical & mechanical drawings Conveyors and sortation systems Control components (relays, motor starters, etc.) Experience troubleshooting material handling automation systems Familiarity with Allen Bradley (ControlLogix / CompactLogix) and Rockwell software Knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet) High school diploma or equivalent Nice to Have Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical/STEM field 4+ years supporting advanced automation or control systems Experience with servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution Background supporting conveyors/sortation systems long-term Leadership or project experience (vendors, capital projects, etc.)
