Job Description

Category Schools - SLP - CFY Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of K-5 students by bringing your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to an engaging elementary school setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for SLP-CCC or CFY professionals who are eager to support young learners' communication and language development in a collaborative environment. Located near Waukegan, IL, you will work with a manageable caseload of 25-30 students, providing interventions and resources that foster student success every day.
Key qualifications and experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state licensure or eligibility as an SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow (CFY) in Illinois Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in school-age children Previous experience in a school setting preferred, or clinical placement with school-aged population Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff Responsibilities include: Delivering direct speech-language therapy services to a caseload of K-5 students within one school Conducting evaluations and assessments to inform IEP goals and eligibility Collaborating with classroom teachers to support language development in the resource setting Documenting progress, updating IEPs, and participating in team meetings as needed Communicating effectively with families regarding student growth and progress Enjoy a structured schedule working 35.5 hours per week, from 8:25am to 4:00pm, aligned with the academic calendar from August 17, 2026 through May 28, 2027.
