Job Description

AUTOMOTIVE LUBE TECHNICIAN
Reports To Lube Technicians will report to the Lead Automotive Technician and the Service Manager. Job Overview This position is responsible for the maintenance and service of customer vehicles. The Lube Technician's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing detailed vehicle service reports, replacing vehicle wiper blades and car batteries, and changing motor oil as well as transmission and brake fluid as needed. To be successful, one should have strong mechanical skills and adhere to all safety procedures and practices. Responsibilities and Duties Apply lubricants to the moving parts of vehicle engines to prevent premature engine wear and ensure optimal engine performance. Lubricate wheel bearings to prevent excessive tire wear. Perform engine cleanings to prevent rust formation. Replace cabin, fuel, air, and oil filters as required. Perform tire rotations to ensure even tire wear. Testing tire pressure and adding air as needed. Thoroughly inspect customers' vehicles for oil leaks. Make recommendations for additional servicing based on initial vehicle inspections. Notify the Service Advisors when vehicle maintenance or servicing cannot be completed within scheduled timeframes. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Completion of a postsecondary education Lube Technician program preferred. Valid Driver's License Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred. Previous experience in automotive maintenance and repair. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
