Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic automotive service team as an Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive excellence in vehicle repair and maintenance. In this energized role, you'll be at the forefront of diagnosing and fixing a wide range of automotive issues, ensuring our customers' vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Your mechanical skills and passion for automotive repair will help keep our service department moving forward with precision and confidence. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrain components, suspension, shocks & struts, brakes, and steering. Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Repair or replace critical components like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and auto body parts as needed. Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully for repairs, welding, and assembly tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to ensure precise repairs on GM vehicles and other makes/models. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating procedures, and communicate effectively with customers about repair needs and timelines. Experience Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical repairs. Familiarity with ADAS calibration, diesel engine repair, wheel alignment, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts, brake repair, and electrical systems. Hands-on experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is highly desirable. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems combined with mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently. Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical problems accurately. Prior experience performing auto body repair or welding is a plus but not required. Excellent customer service skills paired with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
