Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain systems. Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and suspension repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully for repairs such as welding, auto body work, and component replacements. Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and auto electrical systems to enhance vehicle safety features. Follow manufacturer specifications and schematics meticulously to ensure precise repairs on GM vehicles or other makes. Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers about repair needs and estimates. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance. Dealership experience is highly desirable for familiarity with manufacturer standards. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics software and schematics is essential for accurate troubleshooting. Skilled in diesel engine repair, auto electrical systems, transmissions, and powertrain components. Ability to perform brake repairs, wheel alignments, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts replacements confidently. Familiarity with ADAS technology, air brake systems, welding techniques, and auto estimating processes is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools and power tools required for complex repairs.
