Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering components. Service vehicles by executing oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, wheel balancing, and tire service to optimize performance. Repair or replace critical components such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, auto body parts, and welding repairs to ensure vehicle safety standards are met. Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully for disassembly, repair, and reassembly of vehicle parts while adhering to safety protocols. Interpret technical schematics and manuals to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and mechanical issues efficiently. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed and communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle's condition and recommended services. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair across various makes and models. Dealership experience is highly desirable for familiarity with manufacturer-specific procedures. Knowledge of diesel engine repair, automotive diagnostics, transmissions, powertrain components, and auto estimating is essential. Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus; experience with auto body repair is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems. Ability to read schematics accurately and work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills to explain repairs clearly and ensure customer satisfaction.
