Automotive Paint Prepper and detailer

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join our automotive team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing vehicles for painting by ensuring surfaces are properly cleaned, sanded, and primed. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a passion for automotive restoration and repair. You MUST have experience. Responsibilities Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify areas requiring repair or restoration. Assist in the application of primer and other preparatory coatings as needed. Collaborate with auto body repair technicians to ensure all prep work aligns with the overall project goals. Utilize various tools and equipment, including airless paint sprayers, to achieve high-quality finishes. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Perform buffing and detailing tasks to enhance the final appearance of painted surfaces. Qualifications Previous experience in auto body repair or painting is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Proficient in buffing techniques and detailing procedures to achieve high-quality finishes. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
